17.0. "Wholesale Dog Equipment" by CLUSTA::STORM () Tue Sep 08 1987 14:44

    Since much of this notes file is about training hunting dogs, I
    thought I would pass on a mail order company I stumbled into.
    The catalogue is R. C. Steele. It's the exact same company as
    "Sporting Dog Specialties" except the prices are often MUCH
    lower. The only hitch is that it is a wholesale catalogue
    and requires a $50 minimum order. They carry Retrieve-R-Trainers,
    crates, training books (including several by Wolter), etc.
    They are also very quick with delivery.

    I get a lot of my dog supplies from HULME in Paris ,TN. Truly a
    redneck operation so you get really good stuff for a reasonable
    price.

    The address:

    Hulme Sporting Goods and Mfg. Co., Inc.
    P.O. Box 670,
    Paris, TN 38242

    Phone: 800-843-9637

    The thing I like about this place is that the merchandise is good
    quality. I've never had anything I got from them wear out. Also,
    if I call up and order something on Monday, I get it on Wednesday
    or Thursday without fail.

17.4"soft" plastic dummiesDECOY::VIRGILMon Jan 27 1992 13:2415
    Hi folks,

    I'm hoping someone can help me, I'm trying to locate
    a mail order or local gundog equipment supplier that
    sells the "soft" plastic dummies. They are much "softer"
    than the ones sold in R.C. Steele and have a valve at the
    top. I'm not sure how else to describe them.

    I would be most interested in wholesale or quantity discounts.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks,
    Michael
