8.1"5TH (FIVE) NOT THE 15TH"NISYSI::ALLOREWed Sep 09 1987 09:4210
                     Here We Go Again......

    The opening day for the Inland Zone for Ducks in N.H. is:

    OCT. 5TH (FIVE) NOT THE 15TH

    CALL (603) 271-3421 This is the number to the N.H. Fish @ Game
    Dept. I've called them every time I see this date (15th) just to
    be sure and they tell me the same thing every time. The season
    opens the 5th (five) not the 15th!
8.2"ONE MAN BAND"TPVAX2::DESROSIERSWed Sep 09 1987 10:123
    i'm sorry about the date on inland duck season i just called them
    again and they confirmed what you said it is oct. 5. they claimed
    that they made a mistake last week on the dates. sorry about it.
8.3N.H. Goose seasonCROW::STORMThu Oct 01 1987 11:4813
    Here's the date for the N.H. Goose season:

    	INLAND ZONE:  Oct 5th - Dec 13
    	COASTAL ZONE: Oct 17th - Dec 25

    Limit is 3 Canada geese a day.

    In correction to the original note, it looks like the limit for
    Mallards is 3 ducks per day NOT 4. Only one hen is allowed

8.4"DROUGHT AFFECT N.H. WATERFOWL"TPVAX3::DESROSIERSWed Aug 17 1988 09:0215
    instead of a 40 day season with a four per day bag limit , New
    Hampshire hunters this year will have just 30 days to hunt and will
    be permitted only three ducks per day.

    the inland zone will be open oct. 8 to 26 and nov. 24 to dec 16
    the inland zone canada goose season will run oct 8 to dec 16. the
    coastal zone duck season also is split oct 15 to 23 and nov. 24
    to dec 14.

    nationally the wildlife service has closed the season on canvasback
    ducks, severely limited the season on pintail ducks and suspended
    special scaup seasons and bonus scaup and teal limits.

    all these changes are due to the severe drought thru out the states

8.6A Saturday opening?CLUSTA::STORMThu Aug 25 1988 15:389
    Does the inland zone NH duck season really start on Oct 8th?

    By my calendar, that's a Saturday. I thought they had always made
    an effort to have opening day in the middle of the week to somewhat
    reduce the hunting pressure. It seems counter productive to cut
    the season short but start it on a weekend.....

    Mark,
