| Hi John, thanks for the info. I'm always interested in talking with
other people who build/run clevelands. They're getting scarce these
days and it's getting harder to find guys who run them. BTW, I covered
my combination some time ago in note 115.
My engine is apart right now and I'm getting ready to replace the
block with a new one. It has already been sleeved in one cylinder and
it has a few scores in another bore that I don't like. I will look at
the t-stat this weekend to see if there is anything special about it.

8.32 | cooling update | FABSIX::J_BALDINO | | Thu May 29 1997 22:36 | 16 |
|
Gentlemen, if you recall back in January we were discussing the
cooling problem I was having with my 351-C motor, sorry I haven't
responded sooner, however i've been thrashing to complete the rest of
the restoration before the lease at my shop was up in CT so I could
move the car as a whole unit to my house in MA and only have to lug my
equipment and spare parts. Leaving 800 sqft of shop space for a 1 car
garage is a bummer but it put $500 a month back in my pocket and saves
me 700-800 miles a month in driving,so the cooling problem had to wait.
Last week I finally fixed the blunder, the left head gasket was on
upside down, fortunately there is little running time on the engine so
there was no damage, the head was still straight and the valves and
cylinders looked fine, she runs great now.Just a few more finishing
touches and were ready for the street. Thanks for your help, good luck
in all your endevors.
