5484.0. "page orientation problem when printing small landscape documents" by LNZALI::BACHNER (Mouse not found. Click OK to continue) Thu Feb 06 1997 19:08

I have a style file with a single page style - it's landscape in A5 format. So I
expected it to print in the upper half of a standard A4 sheet, and I would be
able to simply cut off the lower half and use the rest.

I tried all page size/page orientation combinations I could think of but I
always get the document printed in landscape relativ to the A4 page.

This is what I want and this is what I get

	+------------+ +--------------------+
	| my text in | | my text here |
	| the upper | | in the upper |
	| half of | | left corner |
	| the page | | of the page |
	| | | |
	| | | |
	| | +--------------------+
	| |
	| |
	+------------+

Any idea how I can achieve a printout as shown in the left example above ?

OpenVMS V6.2, V7.0 VAX and Alpha
DECwrite V3.1
Motif 1.2-3 (VAX), 1.2-4 (Alpha)

PS: I don't dare to ask whether I could print two of my A5 pages on a single A4
sheet - similar to the NUMBER_UP=2 parameter for DCPS driven printers...
