each option can be abreviated to a few characters; how many are defined in .CLD file which describes the command language supported by FTSV look into the kit .A for the CLD file. if your customers has long device and directory paths. he can also define logicals (conciled logicals) to further shorten the line. This problems does not only hit DCL users but many UNIX hacker building tools and just assuming something about a max length of a command line. Sepp, |
