| I own a 230 da SeaRay Sundancer 1995. While I've had my share of
problems (Transom hole not cut properly,Throttle recall,Gas filter assy
recall,Window,Hatch leaks) SeaRay (Not the dealer) did an outstanding
job of correcting these. They even went as far as flying a
Mechanic/Service engineer from the manufacturing plant to my marina to
correct/oversee the repairs, which included all new interior.Searay even
cut me a check to compensate for my down time and extended the warranty
for aother full year.I was impressed with Searay's handling `of it's
customers. My next step up will be another SeaRay (used or new).

| I purchased a 26' SeaRay Sundacer last spring. We use it as a family
cruiser on Puget Sound. It has a 454Chev with a Mercruiser Bravo II.
I can make some general comments about Searay.
- We've been generally happy with the Searay Quality.
- I'm afraid to check the fuel consumption. I suspect it's not so hot.
- The boat is heavy for it's length(26'8")- almost 6000 pounds dry.
- It has proven to be very stable. (beam is 8'6").
We looked at a lot of boats and found that the two most important
things were a good quality boat to start and a good quality former
owner.
You should be happy with the SeaRay.
Good Luck...Kevin

| Re: All replies and mail messages
Thanks very much to all for your helpful replies and messages (even those
who tried to sell me a different boat ! :-) ).
Unfortunately, after more research into the actual costs for the loan, slip
fees, winterization/storage, fuel, etc my wife and I have decided that's
it's not really doable this year.
So, it looks like I'll have to 'make do' with my little 22ft WAC for
another year.
So, thanks again.
Peter.

| Something that i didn't know but found out from a dealer at the
Baltimore Boat Show. Brunswick, the parent corporation of SeaRay,also
owns Baha,Maxum,Mercury and Bayliner.I was told that Bayliner hulls are
built to the same specs. Some models use the same mold (searay and
bayliner). That is why all these models are equipped with Mercruisers
also.I found this interesting but don't really know if to believe it
as i have owned both.Anyone know if this is true?
