Does anyone have any info on SunRay boats? I have a 1987 SunRay Mirage,
and I'm looking for the wiring schematic.I'm also having a problem
with the steering.Someone told me it was the steering piston and the
guy I bought it from said that it just has to be used.The steering
acts like there is no power assist.The power steering pump is quiet
so I don't think i'ts that.By the way this is a 7.5 liter OMC and
a cobra out drive.The boat has not been used for over a year.

My 4.3 cobra's steering was acting up this summer. Same kind of
problem...hard to steer. It turned out that it was low on power
steering fluid....Did you pull the cap?

SPray the steering shaft (?) with wd40 or similar. It may just
be a little gummed up from non use.
