1176.0. "Marina in Lowell Area/NH border??" by JUPITR::GINGRAS () Mon Jun 27 1994 13:52

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a marina(or boat/engine
    repair), place around the Lowell area. A friend of moine just bought
    used boat and has been taking it to Middlesex Marina. He has brought
    the boat there 3 times. Each time the Marina promises to have the boat
    back by a specified time, (usaully ~3-4 days) and each time they do not
    meet the time so we have to cancell plans. It is not like they ran
    into trouble shooting problems either. They just did not have time to
    look at the boat yet! They usually end up looking at the boat and doing
    the work on the promised delivery date. I believe he's tried Billerica
    Marina, but they are overbooked. At least there honest about not having
    the time.

    Thanks,

    Steve

The folks at Roussel Marine on Rt 38 in Dracut have serviced my engine a
couple of times. This is a small place so they might be able to get to you
quick or they might have a waiting list a mile long.

Anyhow --- 453-2112 will get you an answer.
1176.2boat storage info needed.STRATA::SIMONENKOTue Jul 12 1994 15:2112

    	I have an 18 foot Ebbtide that I need to store while I get
    	situated with my move. I still have the boat in Vermont
    	because I'm unable to find a place to put it. Does anyone
    	know of any storage facilities or a place I could dry dock
    	for a month or so? I live in the Marlboro area and all the
    	storage facilities near me are either full or won't take a
    	boat for outdoor storage due to the liability.

Skips Marine, Progress Ave, Nashua (603)881-4838 (its next to where the old
JC Boat Factory was)

or

Atlantis Land Sea and Air in Hudson, NH (603) 889-5949

One of these is owned by the mechanic who used to work for JC boats and both
of them seem to often team up for shows and advertising.

Then, there is always Middlesex Marine on Rt 3 in Lowell (or is it Chelmsford?)

Hope it helps,

1176.4be careful at Middlesex marineDELNI::BIROFri Jul 15 1994 11:1910
A word to the wise.......

I have two friends who bought 42 Fountains from Middlesex marine. They
had nothing but problems and rips offs. I understand that the previous
owner still works there after going bankrupt or as he tells the story
sold the marina. Things just don't smell right. I have heard of the
rip-offs he done on turbo stuff for snowmobiles.... Be careful.

Mike Mazier (don't known spelling) has been around for a long time
with the same BAD reputation......
