1167.0. "Angler Boats??" by CACHE::KLAUZINSKI () Fri May 06 1994 11:00

	Hello All...

I've come across a boat for sale in a local paper. I haven't seen the
boat yet, but plan to this weekend. The more I can learn ahead of time
	the better...

Has anyone heard of an "Angler" before?? The details are ...

	1987 21' Angler Cuddy w/ 115 Johnson & trailer.

		-Hand laid fiberglass?
		- Foam filled ?
		- Enough power?
		- Approx weight?

My guess is that it's sort of like a 21' Parker (big guess?)

I've been looking around at Gradys, Makos...etc., but the price
	on this seems to good...4k.

I'd really appreciate any comments from anyone familiar with an
ANGLER similiar to that listed above.

	Thanks,

	Rob

I had an '85 Angler. There are two one is the Tripp angler and the other (the
one I had ) is made in Florida

Mine was a 22' cuddy cabin. Hand laid fiberglass, no foam flotation
Originally it had a 115hp merc. When the engine blew I replaced it with a
150 hp Mariner. I believe that the 115 is a little under powered, mine was
a different boat with the 150.

Basically it is a well made boat. I ran mine out of Newburyport into the ocean
out to 20+ miles (good days) without any problems. Mine did pound a lot with
the 115 and still pounded (although much less) with the 150.

It is a great fishing boat with a small area to get out of the weather and store
stuff inside. I liked my angler, it was just getting too small (wanted head,
more sleeping area, creature conforts, etc).

My boat had a modified v hull, they may have changed to a deeper v in the
later years. This would smooth out the ride in choppy waters.

Call me if you want more info at dtn 275-3395
