Is there any such thing as a Mass Buying Power for boats? I've heard
of it for appliances and even cars. Trying to figure out the best
way to get the best price on a new boat. Went to the Worcester boat
show and did some research .. seems like I'm in the 12-15K range.
18-19' bowrider, v6 motor, w/trailer, am-fm stereo, looked at a
Larson, Regal, Glastron & SeaRay. Thinking of where we'd like to
do business for the best price/service. Also might wait, heard there
is going to be a boat show in Boston sometime next month. Anyone know
more details of when .. at the Bay State Expo .. ?

The Boston Boat Show is from Feb. 18 thru 27th. The Show is at
the Bay Side. I do not know the hours but will add that when
I find out. If you are just looking at different boats this is
the show you should attend.

There is also a boat show this weekend in Providence, R.I.. This
show is from Jan 20 - 23.

Take it from experience, DON'T BUY at the boat show. A friend of mine
owns a local boat delaership and before the show most dealers get
together who sell the same manufacturers and set the low price before
the start. Shows are an excellent place to do the Touch & Feel and
gather information but you'll probably do a lot better visiting the
dealer and working from there. The price saved on the purchase I was
able to get for a friend was $1,100.00 less than the lowest negotiated
price at the show.
