Well, the hottest thing behind my boat this year is me on my Velocity!
:-) haha
Actually, the latest and greatest was the Kidder Link kneeboard as I
alluded to in a previous note.
Upon reading your note, Crash, my first thought was how I seem to
change the ranking of different events from year to year. A couple
years ago if you asked what I wanted to do, I'd say "Let's foot foot
foot"... today I've swung back to slalom as number one, while my
addiction to footin is waning.
Of course there is always the new stunts we can dream up while
loafing on the dock. Like: "ya know, if I started back at the beginning
of this 60 foot dock with 2 skiis, I could ride all the way down the
dock, drop a ski as I go off the end of the dock then slalom away"...
If I *had* to rank them this year...
1. Slalom
2. kneeboard tied with footin tied with wacked out stunts
Some ranking, huh?

| Rick,
Glad you're takin a liking to your new VELOCITY!
I used to change around alot from year to year as to what I was really
INTO!
Back in '88 it was nothing but FOOTIN. I actually gave up slalom
skiing completely from 86-89.
In '89
I was really into Kneeboarding first, then barefoot.
I took the state title in Barefoot overall for M 1. and in kneeboard
tricks, qualifying for the nationals in '89.
In '90,Slalom skiing started to take the place of kneeboarding as the
tournaments for the boarders went away and we got a course on the lake.
I continued to try to be competitive in both slalom and barefoot,
but found the new tricks in barefooting that I was working on were'nt
so fun to work on. :-(
So,I picked up tricking, had some help from some accomplished trickers
and here I am. A slalom and trick purist, with a twist of wakeboarding
just to break the monotony.

One handed driving; ziggy starts, zaggy turns, varying speeds (-:
Attempts at one handed hyperliting (didn't work, left arm is
the weaker one - not that the right is much better)
Meanwhile, the boys are getting REAL CLOSE to hyperlite wake flips
"real close" means they're past 3/4, i.e. GOOD face
plants. The 1/2 way over ones were the best to watch
though.

| Hey Matt...
I've got two courses to ski on this year, one on the lake
I'm living on, and another on the lake I'll be storing my
boat on come July 19th. Let's see, I ski behind a new
92' ProStar, my brothers 86' Nauteek, my Baja and just about
any boat that'll toss me a line! I hope to ski behind
a 92' Ski Nautique this weekend, hopefully through
the course.

| Sounds like Jenifer Leachman had better watch out!
Let me know what you think of the new Nau if/when ya get
a chance to ski behind it.
