| Yeah.....the best way to keep the mussels out of the outdrive is
to use you boat as much as possible 8^) 8^) then them little critters
don`t have time to take root. 8^)
I had my boat boat docked in Lake Erie for 3 years, and YES we have a
lot of zebra mussels. I never saw a serious problem. I did have some of
them in the water intake one year, but just a few with no serious
problems. My boat was put in in early May, and was in till Oct. I used
it every weekend though.
Some of the boating mags advertise something that you can wash/coat you
boat with. I think the mag was "Lakeland Boater" or "Trailer Boat."

are co-sponsoring a lecture by George Vercelli on the impact of Zebra Mussels
on our water systems. This is a free lecture open to the public.

| Zebra Mussels are now in Lake Champlain, according to the VT Dept. of
Environmental Conservation (DEC).
If you visit Lake Champlain with your boat, please, *please* take the
precautions listed elsewhere in this topic before moving your boat to
another body of water, *especially* any body of water in the Merrimack
River Wathershed.
