I am an EDU instructor based in Rome, Italy. I am looking for possible infos and/or pointers to computer based product to train people about nautical topics (in general). Maybe this is not the right conference: however, I hope somebody can point me to the infos I need... Suggestions, pointers and hints welcome Regards Mario Mario Nebbia @RIO ROMEDU::NEBBIA ROMOIS::NEBBIA

| 853.1 | PC Navigator? | TMCUK2::SURPLICE | Ken Surplice - Euro MicroVAX, PDP prd mgr | Fri Jun 21 1991 07:17 | 9 |
Mario,
I've seen adverts in the PC press for a series of PC based programs.
PC Navigator is the most common. It's a simulation to test your
navigation skills, allowing for various tides and winds. You get to
take bearings, all sorts. Price is around $150-200.
Most other training seems to be video based.
Ciao, Ken

Mario,
One of the products referenced in .1 (more than likely) is produced, or
at least marketed through North Sails. I've ordered accessories
through a local North sail loft, so I would imagine one could do the
same through any of theirs.
