| I haven't launched my own boat yet. Last year it was done for me. But, I have
been scouting the ramps in my area of the Cape for launching my boat this year.
Pleasant Bay/Chatham Harbor:
My mooring is on Ryder Cove in Chatham this year and the ramp there is pretty
decent. It is wide enough, it has a corrogated surface for grip, and they run
at an angle so they don't hold water.
Nantucket Sound:
Saquatucket harbor (right off Rt 28) in Harwich has a nice facility, lot's of
parking, and a harbormaster station, restrooms and the like. There is also a
fee.
Allen Harbor in Harwich has a decent town ramp, there is no fee (I don't think),
but the parking is quite limited - get there early on a weekend.

| If you enjoy the Cape but (like me) don't like the traffic the best launching
ramp is the one in Buzzards Bay. It's on the mainland side of the canal, just
behind the railroad station. Parking is good, the facilities are clean and well
maintained and the ramp is two cars wide with a relatively easy slope. Only
problem is that there are no shops close by so if you enjoy food and wine with
your boating, bring it with you. They do sell gas there.
From this ramp you are close to Onset, Wareham, Buttermilk Bay, the Canal, Mash-
nee, etc.

| If you want to be on the other side of the Cape, the launching
Ramp at the Sandwich Boat Basin is very good also. They even have
a fresh water wash down for when you bring the boat out.
This will give you access to the East End of the Cape Cod Canal and
hence Cape Cod Bay. For the West End of the Canal and access to
Buzzard's Bay, -.1 is the best ramp around.
