| I owned a 1986 4Winns (170 Brougham) for two years. I needed some
incidental parts, like a new drain plug and a latch for the sundeck. I
called them, ordered the parts, gave the M/C number and
got my parts in the mail in a couple of days. They were pleasant and
helpful.
I sold my 4Winns this Spring. I was satisfied with it, because it met
my expectations. However, I don't think that I would buy another
4Winns.
The overall quality was average or so. I spent a lot of time
tightening screws, etc. They used mostly generic parts, like the swim
platform and the windshield. The decorative tape on the hull kept
curling and peeling. Finally, I was very dissatisfied with the
Mercruiser 190. It was slow out of the hole, particularly when trying
to pull a skier. It also had a "monster" wake for a boat this size.

I also have a 1988 205 Sundowner 175 OMC, and have no problems, very
pleased with the product. The dealership I purchased the boat from has
been super, if you want to do price shopping, they are Melvin Village on
lake Winni. 603-544-3583
Good Luck

| I've never bought a boat from Riverfront Marine in Salisbury, but I've
been dealing with them since they started business (motors and parts mostly).
They started selling Mercs out of their Surfland Bait/Tackle shop on Plum
Island in Newbury about 15 years ago.
My experience is that they will do a good job at providing service and
are typically nice to deal with. They give fair estimates and usually perform
to expectations - however they are not cheap. After warranty, expect to pay
the going rate for service....Parts are usually available immediately or
within a few days, but at list prices.
They're one of the better dealers to deal - but I hate dealing with dealers..
