HI I'M Ric D. I live in Ventura Marina on a CHB 34 sedan (trawler) and work out of the Santa Barbara,Ca (zbo) office. Living aboard is great and I use my home to take me to the Channel Islands for diving,fishing,enjoying... I also have a 12' Avon inflatable with an Evinrude 35 which will pull me skiing or kneeboarding (my favorite) or just cruising the harbor.. One of my favorite nautical devices on my boat is my blender (margi's).. FUN FUN FUN I keep my Avon behind my home and I was wondering if anyone had any hints about keeping the bottom clean.(The scrunge slows me down) My boom isn't long enough to use to keep the Avon out of the water. Thanks Ric D.

when i was stationed at vandenberg some years ago my wife and i did some diving out of gaviota to the first 2 rigs north.i think they were called helen and ?.are they still there and still good for scallops? most of our tome was spent in the kelp beds north of gaviota looking for abs.are they still plentiful? had one occasion on a charter boat to go to thechannel islands.it was great, the visibility fantastic.i think we were offanacapa. does the vafb dive club still exist.
