| I am very familiar with Silverton, especially the 34. They keep
the price down by offerring no options. The boat is well built and
handles rough water very well. An 85 34 went for about $70k. A new
1990 34 Silverton is restyled this year and sells for $114K. It now
is a Mediterranean motif. The 1985 is classic convertible sedan.
I hope your friend is less than 6 feet tall cause I almost hit my
head as I go in the salon door. What are they asking for this one?

| 58k is a steal for a 1985 with 250 hrs if the boat is clean. That
is probably what the guy owes. Try lower, of course, but buy it!!!

| I'm in my third season with the "Phanta Sea" - a 1987 Silverton 34C
with the 350 block (Crusader 270s) and have accumulated 348 VERY
HAPPY Hours.
Phanta Sea has been in 7 foot seas & runs the mouth of the Merrimack
as a norm and I have been very pleased with the performance.

| at the asking price of $58k as all have said, BUY IT. definitely
have it surveyed. DON'T BYPASS THIS STEP. the price is dam good.
in my opinion it should be higher. as for the quality, you do get
your money's worth. you don't a Hatteras, or a Bertram, but
for the most part, unless you use it commercially you get a
boat that more than satisfies a seasonal owners needs.
P.S. they also seem to do well in resale.
