| From what I have heard and seen, they are a class boat!. One of
the guys who fishes the E.S.L.O. derby with us every year bought
a new 22' or 24' with a Mercruiser I/O and loves it. He got it south
of Buffalo, NY near Chattaqua Lake. I went aboard and was impressed
with the quality. I handled rough water just fine and has a good
wide beam with lots of room to fish. If I ever go to an aluminum,
I'll take a long look at Crestliners. I think they are more expensive
than Starcraft but not sure. I like the idea of an all welded
hull versus rivets!
Good Luck

| I own a 17' Crestliner fittet with a 90hp outboard. Mine is fiberglas
which Crestliner also manufactures. I believe that Crestliner is
a quality boat and I have found it to be very stable in any kind
of water. Thurstons Marina, at the Weirs is a Crestliner dealer
and also rents out alum. Crestliners in the Summer. The aluminum
version MUST be a solid boat when taken out by folks who usually
are not very skilled in boat handling.

As mentioned in another reply, stop in and see Jeff Thurston at
Thurston's Marina at Weirs Beach. Tell him I sent you. Jeff
is very big on Crestliners, and seems to really believe in them.
I bought my first boat, a used Renken from him 6 years ago. At
the time he showed me some of his rental fleet of Crestliners which
he had for sale. Some of the boats had been in rental service for
over 10 years. They had been repowered because the motors just
plain wore out, (or were bashed against rocks) but the hulls were
in great shape!

| I have a 67 Crestliner 18 ft cabin cruiser which used to carry my
whole family plus the teen's friends at once. Never had a hull problem
with it till I lent it to my manager who put the drain plug in the
self bailing hole in salt water. Anybody wanna buy a hull that needs
some windshields etc.? The boat was really made well and took the
ocean as well as fresh water.
