304.1 | Baja 250 - Good Resale/Reputation for the money.. | ASPEN2::BOIKO | | Tue Mar 14 1989 16:05 | 9 |
| After receiving a few mail messages asking why "Dr Baja" has not
replied to Linda's request for information on the 250 she and her
husband are looking at....well I have.
I called her directly today and gave her some thoughts, pointers,
and contacts.
The 250 is a good choice for people looking for an affordable deepwater
performance boat in the 55-60 MPH range (non-mag 454).

304.2 | A "YEA" vote for Baja | CSOADM::HALL | | Fri Mar 17 1989 10:43 | 5 |
| Baja is one of the better boats on the water. I would vote yes
for Baja.

304.3 | I like mine. | BAJA::THORSTED | Beached for the winter... | Sun Mar 19 1989 22:00 | 7 |
| I love mine! You would never guess by my node name ;^)
I have a 20 footer with a Mariner 150 outboard. I can
do 55 mph. Since I'm at 6000 ft. in elevation, that isn't
too bad.

304.4 | BAJA is number one(biased, me?) | SICVAX::SCHEIBEL | U can Teach A new dog UL TRIX | Fri Mar 31 1989 11:57 | 14 |
| I love mine. As we discussed on the phone, it is my second. I do not
like the lines of the newer models but there construction is as good as
the pre 88's.
You get alot for your money in my opinion and the boats compete well
with fromula and wellcraft. I can honestly say mine is unbreakable. If
the boat has a weak spot And i'm not sire this applies to all , It is
the interiuor fabric. I've found a couple of weak spots and am talking
to the factory about repairing them. They have been very coperrative.
Any questions call me at DTN 352-2184

PS By the way who is Dr. Baja ?

304.5 | Dr Baja here.... | ASPEN2::BOIKO | | Fri Mar 31 1989 12:48 | 13 |
| Dr Baja here...yes, I agree of course with Bill - as he and I have
spoke many times over the phone on the subject of Baja boats. Bill is
one of the best sources for information on Baja boats larger then 20'
(ie. larger Sport and Force models).
While questions on the smaller models (ie, Sunsport, smaller Sport
models 20' or less), can be answered by myself or other DEC Baja owners.
I would also have to agree with Bill on the one area I feel Baja
needs improvement on, and that is interior fabric durability. They are
not the worst, but they could be a whole lot better.

304.6 | timing spec's | BOSOX::JEGREEN | Wanna be a kid when I grow up | Thu Aug 23 1990 09:24 | 5 |
| Would anyone happen to have the timing setting for an '86 Mercrusier
260 hp ( 5.7 L V8 ) which resides within by Baja 190. Unfortunately
I didn't get an engine manual with the boat.
