| Mike,
Have you considered getting a factory (or aftermarket) full canvas?
I know they are a lot more money but also alot more versatile.
The problem with biminis is that they are on RIGID framework and
disassembly requires tools to take them down. (The one's I've seen
anyway.) The full tops just flop down, and are real easy to remove,
not to mention "boating in the rain" capability. Besides, I don't
know how well the bimini would hold up at ~70mph! :^)
I ordered a bimini with my malibu, but have never installed it because
of this "dismantling dilema". (Or maybe I'm still not ready to
drill holes into the gunnels?)

Note 952.0 Bimini Enclosure Replacement No replies

I lost my Bimini enclosure (frame as well as torn "canvas") during
hurricane Bob last August. The boat is a Bertram 28FBCII.
Any suggestions for a reputable installer. The boat yard quote is an
unthinkable $3600 for a simple top, SS frames, .040 vinyl sheet,
four "U" curtains.
The boat is located on the Cape so anyone on the south shore/south-eastern
mass would be appropriate.
Thanks for the leads,
Carl
