  I am changing jobs in a few days. I will be in the same business unit (Net-
works) and the same facility, and I will still be doing software testing, but
in another group. My new group is Network Systems Test Group (NSTG). They are
a central test group for much of NPB's product line. I will be in the clear-
VISN test team.
  I will probably be quite busy when I start there, so I thought I would post
this now. I will post my new email address when it changes.
  I am making this change because my current group took a budget hit and 5 of
the 18 jobs in the group were eliminated. I got lucky in that my current
manager more or less found my new job for me and it appears to be a good match.

	Bob, Congrats on the new job! I thought NPB were supposed to have been quite successful last FY (compared to the rest of Digital's other business units). Rumours are circulating of a bonus payout in October sometime (probably got rid of some heads to make this happen?), although I won't be party to this as I've only been hear just over a year as a sort of contractor. This is my last week here anyway - leaving this all behind to go back to university to finish off my degree. Henry IPEG - Reading, UK

	Chris, This rumour has circulating for quite a well. It looked to be on one moment, off when the Q4 results came out, then back on. I think it's going to be 3% for sure, but a lot of people are going to unhappy if it's not more. The president of our business unit resigned some months back - maybe over the bonus scheme scandal. By the way, this only applies to NPB. H :o)

	H, Networks in the US will be getting their bonus as will folks I know in Hudson's Semiconductor operation (they are getting over 6%). It is all part of a move here in the US to make some portion of everybody's pay 'variable' and dependent on success metrics from their portion of the business. /jen

This one off rather than part of a variable pay programme. However, with all the uncertainty of late, our group manager did caution "don't spend the money until it is in your bank account" in an email to us all. H :o)
