    We went to the hospital yesterday and saw a scan of the baby again. 
    Amazing how big it looks now..currently weighs 6.5 lbs and predicted to be
    approx 7.5lbs  at birth.
    
    As Chris said, the arrival date will now be 15 Aug (unless anything
    happens in the meantime) by ceasarean delivery so I go into hospital on
    14th....feels strange knowing when your baby will *definitely* arrive
    by.

    ooo Jackie!  How exciting!  Wish I knew exactly when this little one
    would arrive by!  It's been driving me nuts kicking me in the middle of
    the night.  
    
    I had a dream last night that the U.S. basketball team won a game by
    more than 100 points.  Everyone was jumping up and down.  Just then,
    the baby kicked REALLY hard and woke me up! haha!
    
    As for me.. I've been doing ok.  Expected due date is still September
    7th.  My last day at work is August 23rd, unless for some reason I'm
    pulled out of work early.  Don't know the sex of the baby, and don't
    want to know.  Doctors have been very good at referring to it as "the
    baby" and not he or she.  I had an ultrasound done about a week and a
    half ago and the baby seems to be rather large.  They're guestimating
    that the baby is over 5 lbs now, and will probably be close to 8 or 9
    lbs by the time it arrives.  Ugh!!

    Thanks for the info about the c-section..it still feels a little bit
    strange.
    
    Holly, I don't know whether it feels more exciting to know or to play
    the waiting game! :-))  S'funny how these little critters affect your
    dreams.  Ours seems to like to play football in the morning and just
    before going to bed..its just *where* it chooses to kick that can hurt!
    ;-)
    
    Its interesting how they have to work not to tell you the sex over
    there, here they refuse to tell you - even if you ask.
    
    8/9lbs...ouch!  I read that in the last month the babies put on about
    1oz per day in weight.  Did the problem you had early on sort itself
    out?

    we had alot of fun joking with the doctor's and nurses yesterday.
    They would be telling us that they booked the c-section and I would
    go that's all very good but what about my wife?

    When I had a scan, I asked the sex and they said they wouldnt tell me,I
    already knew it was a boy but then he did a wee on the scan and it was
    VERY obvious that he is a boy.......we all laughed and the nurse had to
    admit then that it was a boy!!!!

    Yes.. anticipating EVERYTHING at this point.  Went to the doctor's
    yesterday and she said that she's estimating that the baby's in the
    high seven lb. range now... And I still have three weeks to go with the
    baby gaining about a half a lb. a week.
