There are 2 dialects of chinese.  Mandarin, spoken by the majority
of China.  The other one, Cantonese is spoken by people in
South-East China, Hong Kong, and some other countries which I don't
know of hand, but Maylasia is one of them.

    I'm a plain old Materials controller here at OLO but it seems today
    the engineers don't want any parts. No one seems to have broken
    anything. Still over the weekend they manage to do plenty of damage

I'm an IT working for IPEG (Internetworking Products Engineering
Group) in Reading.  I haven't got quite enough experience behind me
yet to be called a software engineer but that's something along the
lines of what I do.

    I went over to New Zealand Twice (alone) and spent Six months there
    both times. I made a lot of friends amongst the Maori people and learnt
    a little of the language ( I can sing far more than I can speak) . Its
    a great country to visit. Glad to see we can be friends.

Yesterday afternoon I attended our regular departMENTAL review meeting, so

    Not a lot to tell really, I've got as far as the second year on an O.U.
    degree course and have 4 more exciting courses to get through. Havent
    signed up for this years course though as its pretty expensive to do.
    Still with the O.U. you can take as long as you like to finish your
    degree.
    
    I know what you mean about staying awake in meetings - mind you at the
    moment work is so slow that I am finding it hard to stay awake full
    stop.

Well, just about everybody in our department is a software engineer /
programmer / hardware engineer of one sort or another, and engineering and
computer programming is still a male dominated dicipline as you probably
know - that should put your mind at rest.

We have one or two girlies in our department too, but you can count them
