How's friday night the 12th sound? Although, wasn't wednesday night the $10
mega-grand-super-killer ticket deal where you had unlimited playing time? Might
be less crowded than a weekend night. When's people arriving in the area?

    Actually, they now have it so that you pay $10 any night and you get
    the mega deal, where you can skate, play mini golf, or laser storm all
    night.  So, any night would be fine.

Hi friends,

   living in the US now for already 1 complete year (!!!!!!! ;)  )
   doesn't prevent me from still not knowing certain expressions.
   For example: what is a laser tag?
   It sounds like fun though. 
   And count me in for May 12th or May 13th. If I can get my 
   Green Card "peculiarity" solved, I'm planning on a trip back
   home to Germany in June. So anytime in May is fine with me.

You think this is fun... wait until Kimball's opens!

Lazer Tag is a game where you wear a helmet/belt with sensors on it and shoot
with a gun with an light in it that sets off the sensors. There's a scoring
system built in (when you get "hit" you have to recharge in a wall unit) and you
have panels that you hide behind. tough to explain but fun to play. It's sort of
like paintball without the pain of impact.

    Well, the cheapest place to stay if you are going to Jake Ivory's
    is my house. :*)  Of course, you'll have to sleeping bag it. The
    bunk beds in the kids room are spoken for, as is the pull-out couch,
    but anyone that wants to stay over can.
    
    BTW: I live less than a block from Jake Ivory's. :*)

    don't know if I will still be employed at that time.  The new company

    jobs yet.(We are only contractors).  Well, I'll look at the bright
    side.  If I don't have a job then, I won't have to worry about getting
    the time off.

       Lasertag:  a game with lasers, that's all I know, it is supposingly
                  a lot of fun and I'm excited about trying it
       Jakes   :  "Jake Ivorie's" is a comedy cafe. They do comediatic
                  performances there and you can eat and drink. I've never
                  been there, and am looking forward to it.
       Numbers :  the amount of people you bring to an event.
                  Exa: 1 means you alone. 2 means you bring a friend
       Sophia:    is still alive. I've never met her and am looking forward
                  to seeing her and the other ::friends.

    I can help with this one:
    
    Directions to Kimballs
    
    Take Route 495 to exit 31.  If heading North turn left off the exit.
    If heading South take a right off the exit.   Go a couple hundred feet
    to your first traffic light (you will go by LKG and there will be a
    Mobile station on the corner).
    
    Take a left at the light.
    
    Kimballs's is a mile or so up on your right.

Jake Ivory's is near Fenway Park (baseball stadium) in Boston. Not the best
neighborhood for a B&B, but we can probably find one that's conveniently
located.

    I think you might want to check.   There are TWO Jake Ivories...and I
    believe they are talking about the one in East (?) Brigewater which is
    in Southern Mass....heading down toward the Cape.

    Jen is right.  We are going to the Jake Ivory's that is in
    West Bridgewater, MA...It's on Rt. 106, directly off of Rt.24
    which can be easily accessed by either Rt. 128 or Rt. 495.
    
    Chris,  I have a list of a few bed and breakfasts between
    there and Boston.  I will send them off to you before the
    end of the day today, I promise!!  (I know...I've not been very

    prices.  I think Worcester might be easier for most people, and I've
    never been there, so it would be a new experience for all of us.  I'll
    find out how much they are and will post it here.  We can go to

       The schedule says: we're on for Kimballs on the 12th noon and
                          Lasertag in the evening.
       That means you guys need exact directions from Boston to Kimballs.
    
       Lasertag: we'll find an etablissment and you'll get written
                 directions the latest at Kimballs from me.
       Saturday: we're on for Boston and Jake Ivory's.
       I'll bring my maps, because I don't know the way, either. ;)
    
       Starttimes: 
          how about:  12th   noon   Kimballs
                             5pm    dinner (eg at Chopsticks?)
                             and to Lasertag afterwards
                                 
                      13th   10     Boston, eg @ your B&B
                             and the drive to Jake's afterwards

       some replies ago it says: it is in West Bridgewater right off rt 106.
    
       I now have my Mass map here. And it looks like...
    
         - from Boston it is Rt. 93 south (easy accessible, there are signs
           to rt 93 on the major highways)
         - rt 128 west
         - rt 24 south
         - rt 106 east
         - and then the exit West Bridgewater
    
    Do you have a map from Boston and/or Massachusetts?

    A new Barbers Crossing just opened where Landlord Benz use to be.  I'm
    not sure of the town but I want to think it's Lancaster on Rt. 140.
    Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Well, you're all wrong.  :*)  It takes less than 40 minutes to get to
    my house from Logan Airport in boston.  And, it's 35 minutes from
    Quincy Market.
    
    Also, form Boston, take Rt. 93south to Rt.24(this is the beginning of
    Rt.24, so there's only one ramp, and the exit off Rt.93 onto Rt.24 is
    on the LEFT SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY!!!  (IE:Be carefull!)  Take Rt. 24 to
    the FIRST Rt. 106 exit...You will NOT be going towerds
    Bridgewater...the sign will say Easton...it's the same exit for the
    dog track, and there is a sign for that also.  As soon as you get off
    the ramp onto Rt. 106, get over to the left, and take an almost
    immediate left into the parking lot for The Charley Horse Restaurant
    and Jake Ivory's.  
    
    If you are coming to my house first, which is only a block away from
    there, let me know and I will e-mail directions. (Please feel free to.)
    Dinner reservations will be in The Charley Horse for 6:00pm, and the
    Show in Jake Ivory's starts at 8:00pm.
    
    Feel free to come to my house any time after 3:00pm that day.  The
    Charley Horse and Jake Ivory's are affiliated with one another, and
    attached...you can go from one to the other as much as you want
    throughout the evening.
    
    I still need a list of who's planning on spending the night at my house
    also.  So far, the only one I know of is possibly Joyce Tomao.  And,
    could everyone let me know if they are coming for just the show, or for
    dinner and the show.  The reservations have to be made seperately.

    The 2.5 hour drive was probably estimated from northern Mass.
    My map shows W.Bridgewater is closely located to Boston.
    So the drive is about 1h. Including driving from the city center.
    
    Doesn't look far. Don't worry.

re. .106  The new Barber's crossing is on Rte. 12, about 1 block north of the
intersection of I190 and 12.  We went there Saturday night for dinner.  We
were told it would be a wait of 1 1/2 hours, but only turned out to be 1 hour.
The bartender in the upstairs lounge pours some pretty potent drinks! :-)

We weren't really impressed.  Steve ordered his filet mignon medium rare, it
came out well, well done.  The waitress never came back to see how everything
was.  We finally snagged the manager when he went by to tell him we wanted 
it sent back.  She also forgot to bring the rolls and our vegetables...
The prime ribs were good, but IMO they're much better at The Border.

BTW, there is no salad bar here.

always wanted to go to Landlord Ben's when they were there, but never got
around to it. I heard their Sunday brunch was great. I like the "all you can
eat" buffets that cost less than $10, and I seem to recall that LB's was one
of these.

    
    Not only did landlord benz have all you can eat but, also, all you can
    drink champagne and bloody marys!
    

	Ah yes, the Landlord Bens brunch was fantastic, maybe the strawberry
shortcake was the best we ever had because of all the mimosas we drank!

By the way, the lobsters looked very good, I know alot of people like this
place.  We've been to both locations and have not had a good experience at
either.  I know I'm a little picky, but not very!!

    Well, I have FINALLY gotten the information from Laser Maze, in
    Worcester, MA.  And let me tell you, it sounds much better than the
    place in Leominster.
    
    This place has 5 battlefields.  The game lasts for 35-40 minutes.  They
    have several places in the area that deliver pizza and you can order a
    pizza before your game, go play your game, and then your pizza is
    usually there when you get out.  It's really easy to get to too!  
    
    They are open from 3:00-9:00.  They also have a big screen TV and
    several video games.

	Great life it was when I was 17 too... I was in Angoul�me, pretty
litle in the south-west of France. I needed nothing exepept to have fun with
some very good friends of my age. We had parties twice a month in each house
of the members of the group. There were some pretty girls very nice... How
life could be sweeter? When U don't need what U can't have, U're happy!

    Directions for Laser Tag in Worcester, MA.
    
    Take your favorite road to rt. 290 west.  (I-190 or I-495 are easiest).  
    
    Take the College Square exit. 
    
    go left under 290.
    
    Rotman's furniture will be on the left.
    
    about 100 feet after rotmans, take your first right.
    
    The "Battle at Laser Maze" sign will be right in front of you.
    
    We'll meet in the dining area that they have.  They don't serve food,
    but we can order pizza from a local place that will deliver there.  I
    figured that'd probably be the best thing to do.  
    
    Shall we meet at 6:30?  That'll give us time to do at least two games.

  Well, the weather cleared up enough to allow us to go thru with our Kimball's
run. I estimate 12 people there. It was great meeting Jackie, Martina, and Wen
and re-meeting the local crowd and Chris.
  Have a good time with the stuff that is going on this weekend. And to our

    A big THANKYOU for Terrie for organizing this great fun evening
    at Jake Ivory's on Saturday. I had the time of my life. All these
    great new words....... good inspirations for my customers' presentation
    next week. Especially "You b*tch, you sl*g, you wh*re!" and this
    very elegant idiom "Get late, get f*cked!".

    Chris, Jackie and me. Inspite of nasty wet weather they did not mind
    walking around with us and showing us the important buildings of
    Bean-City, strolled through Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market with us
    and even took us out to the USS Constitution. And we finished our
    Boston-tour with a relaxing entertaining lunch at the Hard Rock
    Caf�.
