    I've *tried* to register but have had a load of trouble so doing. From
    what I've subsequently discovered, it seems that so long as ALL e_mail
    associated with the Registration process is done via VAXmail.. and NOT
    I repeat.. NOT VAXmail that is via ALL-IN-1 as a front-end.. all should
    be well.
    
    (From replies to the relevant topic in SOFBAS::INTERNET_TOOLS, it's
    clear that many, many people have experienced identical hassles when
    trying to register for this course.)

I just got accepted for the third session, starting late October...sounds

    I am also in the third class.  Sounds like a fun class, our
    system manager just installed Mosaic on our system so I have
    been playing around with it.  It part of the WWW, it just very
    slow.

If you think Notes can be a timesink, wait until you get Mosaic. It's incredible

    And on a related note!  HELP!   I just had MOSAIC installed and neither
    I or the guy doing the installation know what to do next.   It is like
    an empty shell with no pointers.   Under "HELP" there is a menu choice
    of "ON LINE DOCUMENTATION" but when you select it you don't get
    anything.
    
    So....does anybody know of a notes conference to help me figure out 
    what to do next.   We're trying to get trained to locate/utilize a
    particular bulletin board that is going to share data with one of our
    larger customers.

    Also add entry SOFBAS::INTERNET_TOOLS, there are a lot of 
    entries on MOSAIC that will help.  We've only had it for
    a copy of days and it is slow.

    Thanks for the note pointer.   Jim gave me a valid URL to test
    with and speed doesn't seem to be a problem here.   I'm using
    it via a pentium PC and going out via AKO to the INTERNET.

	also check out under the NAVIGATE button. There should be a selection
labeled "internet starting points". Jump from there and hang on...I can supply
the URL if you like...

    I mailed her that, along with several other "different" URLs to give
    her a broad selection to check out. It sounds as though her image
    viewer isn't hooked in properly and that's why she can get some of the
    info but it complains during the load.

	if you need anything else file-wise, check out TECO::SYS$PUBLIC:. Whole
bunch of goodies in there for lynx, xmosaic, etc....

    Hey...has anybody tried to reach the internet lately?  I was cruisin'
    this morning examining DELL and IBM and SUN for competitive info, but
    ever since just before lunch I can't reach any of my URL's.... :(

Probably just a temporary router problem local to your area. Probably worth
letting you local system managers know.
