| Well, I've seen both done, and it's different than getting the centers in
the chocolate covered cherries (you don't want the REAL answer, do you? 8^)
You first have to get a nice fluffy donut and hold it firmly.
Then you aim your stiff applicator, properly centered and firmly insert it.
After it's inserted to the proper depth, you pump a couple of times and the
proper amount of filling remains when you withdraw.
Now for donuts you... 8^)
(choco-cherries is a bit more disgusting)
The really good part about it is that you WANT to get it done in just one
pump!

| Gee, do I dare...
sure!
Now if you're filling crullers you need to be very careful in insertion and
make sure you get it all the way in before you start pumping. You also need
to continue pumping through the removal process so as to uniformly fill the
cruller. It's also a different grasp to hold it in position due to the
elongated shape and the deeper insertion. I believe a different applicator
is used but you might accomplish the same thing with a tip extension as long
as it's properly secured. You can tell when you've pumped enough and it's
time for removal due to the firmness you can feel while gripping it. If you
pump too much it will burst all over and you need to waste time cleaning up
instead of filling the next one in line.
Terrie... you want just one pump because you need to do ALL the donuts or
you have disatisfied customers. You want to satisfy them all so they'll keep
coming... um... back, yeah, that's it... coming back.
You also have to be careful inserting or you might damage the applicator and
it won't work properly and you won't be able to fill any at all and nobody
will be satisfied.

| Now, once you've worked filling donuts for a while and perfected your
technique, you're ready to work on the more delicate pastries, creme horns.
Now the technique is very similar but you work with a hand applicator and
gently insert it and squeeze at the base. No pumping is generally necessary.
The other big difference is that you need to do both ends on these and it is
considered good form to let it ooze out the ends in full view. These
generally take more time but less work and if you don't do them right you
have too eat your mistakes

Steve's Aunt and Uncle will be taking us all to the NCO club over at Westover

On the way in I heard a Dunkin Donuts commercial on the radio where they talk
about their Duo deal. You get coffee and a donut... You KNOW how to make the
donut, Did I ever describe making coffee? 8^)
First you get some good beans and then you put them in the roaster and get them
good and hot until they're all nice and warm and brown. Then you take them out
and grind them. You need to take care and grind them JUST to the point where
they're the right coarseness and then you're ready to get cooking. Always use
the proper filter. Things are just heating up and it lets loose and you get a
hot stream flowing and just as it's drip, drip, drip, finishing, you pour a cup.

opens with wonderful footage of a Lamborghini Miura snaking its way
through some mountains.)
Well, there was ONE of those Lamborghini Miuras here in Melbourne - the
ONLY one in the whole of Australia at the time. Unfortunately, the
lovely beastie was totally wrecked not far from where I live when its
rather pretentious owner left the Beach Road in it at a great rate of
knots.
Things like that make me wanna cry!

| We aren't using the bunny as the symbol of Easter in Australia this
year.
We've opted for the `bilby', a small Australian thingie that looks like
a big rabbit ..has mega-long ears.. and they're growing extinct so it
was thought that this might help alert the general public to the plight
of the bilby.
The shops are all full of chocolate bilbys.

Jackie,
The Cadbury company makes Easter eggs of chocolate that are "anatomically
correct" and the bunnies on their USA ads go cluck, cluck, CLUCK before getting
off the nest full of product.
(didn't know if the ads played over there but that was the reason for training
the US ones)

246.97 | Yes, there is. Proofs and facts .... | LJSRV1::LAMBRECHT | The Spirit of Bavaria | Thu Apr 06 1995 17:12 | 29 |
| The answer is: Yes, there is an Easter Bunny.
At least one bunny, because..... I saw 'em. ;)
It was about 1965, I was not even in school yet, when I got up
early on Easter Sunday.... in order to SEE the Easter Bunny.
You know, nasty little children in Germany always try to
unsolve mysteries that their parents make up for them...
Anyways, I got up early to figure out WHO really puts the
chocolates in my Easter nest (in Germany you places nests
outside and they are filled overnight). So I went outside,
hiding. All nests were empty yet, my family still happily
sleeping. Then..... I saw HIM. Yup, the Easter Bunny itself
came from the fields adjacent to our house, entered the
garden, ran around on the grass, sniffed the air.... and
was gone again.
Well, well, I was pretty embaressed, because the Easter Bunny
had sniffed that I was hiding to watch him and went away without
leaving any chocolate behind. I even felt terrible, because
later in the morning I had to admit and confess to my little
brother,,,, WHY there was nothing in his nest.....
Well, when I got up again later, all the nests were filled and
everybody happy. Great relief!!! What a wise guy the Easter
Bunny is,,, to show me a mirror, to let me find out how ridiculous
I acted.
I never again tried to get a glimpse at any "miraculous beings" again.
;)

Martina,
The bilby's a strange little creature .. like a big rabbit with
huge floppy ears and a long tail ... I don't think they live on
bilberries.. I don't think there are any bilberries here.. The
chocolate editions have proved very popular.
There is also a lot of chocolate fish made at this time of year
too.

| I have a question to pose to my ::friends
Due to a recent string of mail/notes, the question of 69 came up and one of the
comments/questions was "So who's the 6?"
So, what's your opinion. Which sex is which digit and why. Keep it within the
guidelines of the conference and such but now that someone mentioned it, I'm
having trouble assigning a value to the digits. Just the sort of thing to send
my mind off on a wild goose chase. So I thought I'd share it.
