*** Announcing:  Our third annual trip to the Newport Jazz Festival. ***

    
Ok ... here it is ... the next/final trip of the summer.  I know, summer 
just started, but I need to know NOW if you'll be attending this trip.  
I need a deposit of $15 ABSOLUTELY no later than Friday, June 17.
Otherwise, I'll have to cancel at least one of the sites I have.
I realize that it's a bit early to plan for August, but the campground
fills up quick, so I HAVE to cancel a site if we're not going to use
it.

First, and most important .. here is the line-up of performers for 
this year's Newport JVC Jazz festival

        Fri., Aug. 12: George Benson
        Sat., Aug. 13: Manhattan Transfer/Wynton Marsalis Quartet/
                        Yellowjackets/Marcus Roberts Trio/Joe Lovano
                        Quartet
        Sun., Aug. 14: David Sanborn/Dave Brubeck/Buddy Guy/Dirty Dozen
                        Brass Band/Rachelle Ferrell


We will be camping at a place right on the island.  Most people will be
arriving either Thursday  night or Friday night.  Cost is $25 per person
for the weekend.  Unfortunately, I cannot break that up to a per-night
fee, as the campground has a flat rate for that weekend.  three night
minimum.  Still, that's not bad considering what you'd pay for a hotel
in the area for the weekend.

I have reserved four sites.  There is a MAXIMUM of four people per site.
So, I have to put a limit of 16 people for this trip.  So, first people with
deposits of $15 will be guaranteed a spot.  This promises to be a great
festival this year.  

Even if you are NOT into Jazz, you can still join us.  There is plenty to
do in the Newport area.  Of course, there's the Mansions to visit.  Or
you could just go to the beach for the day.  Many many things to do besides
listen to Jazz all day. 

If you're interested in joining us for this trip, PLEASE respond to me
asap.  I'll need deposits soon, so I can confirm our reservation.

    Holly, you can't guess how I wish to be there. They have been my
    favourite since my very young days.
    
    Here, in Istanbul will be a jazz festival between June 7-11. The
    Brecker Brothers, Chick Korea, Tania Maria from Brazil and James Brown 
    will be the performers. I bought a combined ticket for all.

    Seref ... I saw the Brecker Brothers last year at the newport jazz

    I'm extending the deadline for this trip one week.  If there's anyone
    who's still interested in this trip, I need your deposits absolutely by
    Friday, June 24.  Please let me know soon if you'll be going on this

    	Holly, since I'm unable to go camping that weekend....Tamey's
    	coming home from Florida after 7 LOOOONNNNGGGG weeks away from
    	home.... WHO is going to make the MOE-BALLS(tm)????  Now, don't
    	forget to bring "SHOT" (water) glasses to measure....AH...the
    	HECK with the glasses... just pour til you feel it's right!!!
