Come be part of First Night Worcester!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello All,
This note is from Sandy Newfield. Sandy is no longer
with Digital, and I am a volunteer site captain for First
Night myself, so I am submitting this note for her. If you
are interested in participating, please call the First Night
office @ 799-4909. Regards, Pat
*********************************************************
I've placed this in SINGLES because I think there might be an interest here
for people to get involved, see some very nice musical acts and meet some other
singles.
I am responsible for volunteers for First Night Worcester and thought this
would be a great place to invite all of you to participate. This is a fun
event, volunteer for as little or as much time as you like. You will meet
loads of interesting other volunteers and it's a great way to spend New
Year's Eve. I'm writing now because I need Site Captains in particular so
if you'd like to be committed now for New Year's Eve and want to play a
big part in a fun event, give me a buzz.
Please respond by calling me and leaving a home number where you can
be reached if you are interested in becoming part of this fun time.
Best Regards,
Sandy

Become a part of Worcester's Premier arts festival by becoming a volunteer for
First Night Worcester 1994.
Since 1982, more than half a million people have attended First Night
festivities. This annual New Year's Eve festival is a nine-hour cultural
event offering a variety of visual, performance, musical and participatory
arts programming in the heart of downtown Worcester. More importantly, it is
a safe, family-oriented and alcohol-free alternative to traditional New Year's
Eve celebrations.
First Night offers an opportunity for area residents to see top entertainers
from Worcester and from around the country and to view exciting visual arts
displays at a reasonable price. First Night locations are some of Worcester's
most remarkable buildings and churches. Purchasing a First Night button
provides a whole afternoon and evening of entertainment. For area artists
and performers, First Night is an annual opportunity to showcase their talents
to large enthusiastic audiences of all ages.
First Night Worcester is a private, non-profit organization which relies on
the financial and volunteer support of the community and area businesses.
FIRST NIGHT WORCESTER needs VOLUNTEERS to:
** Manage Performance Sites **
** Sell First Night Buttons **
** Usher at Performances **
** Assist Performance **
** Monitor for Safety **
** Help plan for First Night by serving on committees such as programming,
fundraising, publicity, button sales, volunteers.
All volunteers receive a free admission button so that you can attend First
Night performances when you are not working. Following the event you will be
invited to a Thank You party.
You will get the appreciation of everyone who attends First Night Worcester.
this event takes place because you volunteered!!

Subj: Holidy Donation - Native American Children
Last week I visited the Sokoki Band of the Abenaki Nation in Swanton
Vermont. While there I spoke to Mike Delaney the Tribal Judge, and asked
if there was any need that possibly the Native American Forum could assist
in. Actually there are many things they need right now, but the immediate
need right now is toys for the children at Christmas. So, I am asking if
anyone would like to donate a toy to help make a small child happy during
there time of struggle.
I will be happy to pick them up at your office during lunch, if your not too
far from the Marlboro office, unless you are able to drop it off at my
office. These gifts will have to be mailed to them as the trip by car takes
approximately six hours one way. In order for them to arrive on time, I will
have to mail them by the 18th of December.
If you would like to donate a gift, please conact me at DTN: 297-9775 or
vie E-mail FSOA::CATTO - Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jean Red Raven Catto
P. S. Please forward this memo to anyone you feel might be interested.
