| well, this is what my brother-in-law john did... (my husband knows
most of the police, so he called one of his friends to do this favor)
john was pulled over by the police on the way out to dinner...
he told jodye to get out the car registration while he got his
liscence... in the envelope with the registration was a note
saying "jodye, will you marry me?" and the policeman, instead of
going to john's window, tapped on jodye's window, and when she
rolled it down, handed her the diamond ring, and said "i believe
this is for you..."

I saw a proposal on a television program where the guy was truckdriver
and his boss had sent a cameraman along with him for an interview
(he was from television ofcourse!) When he was on the highway his
collegue with a simular truck passes him and has first his picture
on the truck and the guy didn't recognise himself! ;-) Then comes
her picture and you should have seen the look on that guys face!
And finally the text "Do you want to marry me!"

Just recently I saw a film, where he put the proposal on
a tiny piece of paper and fiddled it into a fortune
cookie. They went out to a chinese restaurant and after
the meal when the waiter served the cookies, he had him
serve her this special one.

Well..... After a lovely birthday celebration with my family and
Mark, we went home and put on some lovely music.. then he read me
a *beautiful*, romantic poem he wrote, which included a proposal
at the end. Guess what my answer was? ;v)
