Hi!
I have some friends that want to go white water rafting this fall in
the New England/New York area.
I'm looking for any recommendations from folks that have been and had
good luck with any rafting companies.
Thanks.

guy out in san diego who had that as his side business, so when i went

in his balloon...it was just beyond description...i almost fell out on

If you think that's bad, "Unix Made Complicated" is 5000 pages long!
I had had 10 years of experience with VMS and similar operating system when
I first tried Unix three years ago. My first reaction was "This operating

You could try your Human Resources people. They (if its the same as
over here) probably keep a record of ex-employees last known addresses.
Now, it is unlikely that they will provide you with that kind of
information, but a friendly and helpful HR person might be prepared to
forward a letter, unopened, to the individual.

| O.K., he has the guys badge number and his last know address. The problem is,
he's an ex employee, so the badge number doesn't really count for much to track
him by unless he can go through human resources. He doesn't live at his old
address anymore. I did give my B-I-L the phone number for the manager of human
resources, but don't think they're allowed to give out that sort of info.
BUT...I do have a ::FRIEND who's going to see if a friend can track him down...

I fondly (?) remember making my way along Main Street to the Registry
Office one night in January, 1986... it was snowing..and yes.. they
were open until 7pm then. Yes Jt, they were very busy too.
I went there to collect a copy of the Massachusetts road laws.. well,
I'd been driving about for a week then and I figured it was time I
found out what I should/should not be doing.
And raq, here's one for the Law Department to sink its teeth into -
according to Massachusetts Law, Australian drivers' licences are NOT
recognized in Massachusetts. This means that if an Aussie is driving, and
he has a road accident, according to the law as she is wrote, the insurance
company could legitimately claim that the Aussie driver is
unlicensed.. and thereby avoid pay-out. In fact, a corporation's
liability in such circumstances could be enormous.
Note that this situation is an anomaly in the law, as written.. but it
has a lot to do with why I worry every time I drive in MA. And it never
ceases to amaze me how readily AVIS will hand me the keys to a rental
car just based on my Australian drivers' licence.
(I raised this matter with the relevant authorities there and they all
shook their heads and said "but o' course that's an obvious mistake we
will quickly rectify...." .... but has it been...?? I'd really like to
know.)

Did you get one? Shortly after registering my car in MA seven years ago, I
tried twice to get a copy and they didn't have any to give out. One time they
said they were reserved for people who are getting new (NOT transferred)
driver's licenses. So I gave up. (I learned to drive in NH.)
As most Bay Staters know, the Registry and common sense are mutually
exclusive.

Hmmm....perhaps it was a Patsy Cline tribute type show.
I told you I really don't have much info on it....I was hoping to get
tickets for my dad's b=day.
But.....I can't even think of a place in Sudbury that would put on a
show like that. Maybe I'll call ticketmaster.

/jen,
Just so you know, about 3 months ago, our Multicultural TV service
showed a 1-hr documentary about Patsy Cline. It featured her singing
the songs that made her famous - she was outstanding as a female
Country & Western singer. Her life had been rather unfortunate, in that
apart from the final airtrip in which she lost her life, she'd earlier
been victim of a horrific auto accident, leading to her having to have
had extensive facial reconstruction by plastic surgery. But if nothing
else, Patsy Cline was a fighter.
I feel sure that the TV service to which I've referred WILL be
repeating this documentary sometime in the near future. If your Dad is
a keen Patsy Cline fan, I'll be pleased to videotape the program for
him. That then would be in PAL recording standard and would need to be
converted to NTSC recording standard before one could watch the program
on a USA type TV set. You would need to get the tape I produce
converted but that shouldn't cost "an arm and a leg" and there are many
professional converters' services available. (I've tried doing that in
the past but I've been unsuccessful.)

The VR201-A is black and white, the -B is green and the -C

The VR241-A is the color monitor that goes on the Rainbow. But
with this monitor you need a BCC03-06 cable. Now I have the
cable but not the monitor. If you can find one I'll sell you

Follow I290 West into Worcester
and look for the Route 9 exit(Westboro). [I can't recall the exit number]
(This exit will be the one AFTER
the I190 exit. After passing the I190
exit, MOVE ALL THE WAY RIGHT).
Take the Route 9 exit(Westboro) and
stay right through the traffic light.
This leads you into Lincoln square where
you will pass the police station on your
left. You will see signs for the Centrum
and the Outlet Mall. Just keep straight
and you'll run right into the mall.

Depending on when you purchased the bond, the face value maturity
on all EE bonds is 7-10 years. The maturity to 'purchase cost'
is 6 months. (IE: You can't cash a bond for at least 6 months
after it has been purchased.) After the full maturity, the interest
rate that you accrue at is lowerd by 20%, so it is beneficial for you
to cash them within 90 days of face value maturity, then roll it over
into more bonds, or into a savings account.

Question about PC's for the PC minded folk out there (IBMPC-95 is not
reachable):
A friend brought over an old IBM PS-2 box yesterday (his school
bought new systems and was tossing out the old ones). It has the hard
drive (20meg), a 3.5" floppy drive, two simms (9 chip I believe), and
it seems to power up ok (plugged it in and listened to the drives spin
up, etc).
My question is, what was the std config of an IBM PS-2? Is the
drive RLL or MFM or IDE or SCSI(not likely) controlled? How much memory
is there with the two simms installed and what kind of CPU did they
have?
any info much appreciated!

besides English.
I need to know how to say "Please do not touch the cat" in a few
foreign language. Specifically Spanish and French, but any other
language would be helpful as well.
the reason I need this is that next week I will be going to an
International Cat show where they expect ~10,000 people to go through
the show hall. I need to put a sign on my cat's cage asking people
not to touch the cat. I don't want people touching my cat because if they
have touched another cat that has some type of disease and then touch
mine, they can transfer that disease to my cat. In simple words that
I've seen on other people's cages .. "Your kind affection can spread
infection".
Thanks.

Thanks for your help. That's what I needed. I will most likely use

However, what I will do with this picture is put it on top of the cage.
(there really isn't a place to hang a sign this big without blocking
the view of the cat). Some people don't look on top of the cage when
they go to a show. So I'll still need to hang a small sign on the
cage. I'm going to stick with the different languages here.

| A poor attempt at humor. My point being that seaside and Boston probably
shouldn't be in the same sentence. It's probably too early in the season to go
down near the cape so the north shore might be your best bet. Terrie has a great
guide (how about that loft with the telescope) that should have plenty of stuff
to choose from and I heard Ann interofficed you some stuff.

| I have a question for all of our friends in England.
First, a bit of history. My grandfather's parents both came from
England. However, my grandfather was born in Pennsylvania. The entire
time he was growing up, his grandfather had a special name for him ..
Snicklefritz (SP?). Consequently, my grandfather called my mother that
when she was growing up and my mother called me that when I was growing
up.
Now, my question. DOes anyone know where the word "Snicklefritz"(sp?)
came from? I've been told that it may be a type of cookie. Anyone
know?

| Holly,
I've looked in the German dictionary. There a two words which might
fit:
schniegeln: prepare, smarten
schnieke: Berlin dialect for chic, taste, elegance
Schniegelfritz could be a person which cares for his look. Maybe one of
your ancestors heart this term in Germany and said it in English =
"Snicklefritz". We also have to take into consideration that this
happend at least 100 years ago.

| The word "snickle" could also be an adapted form of the
German word "Schnuckel". It is pronounced "shnookle" with
a very short "oo" sound. Like "must" with "oo" instead of the
"u". Schnuckel is a pet word eg for your spouse. Like sweety or
darling.
Snicklefritz can just mean: Sweety Fritz.

there are no instructions on how to get the local operator. I'm guessing that
dialing "0" gets the DTN operator. If you really need to know, I suggest you
call the support person (DTN 223-2420) and ask.
The good news is that the phone problems in the W. Bridgewater area were not
due to a major catastrophe. If there had been one, I would have heard about it
by this time. A lot of phone malfunctions like this never make the news, unless
they are a side effect of a major disaster.

BenJ. I assume that you are looking at an internet type address
where [email protected]
Name is usually the user nema of the person. The first XXX is usually
the provider. The second xxx usually determines the type of business
that the provider is....edu (school/university)...mil (military) etc.
The Last xx is usually the country or state/province....CA at the end
of the address would indicate Canada, as .FR at the end would indicate
France.

49.313 | Need some sand? | LJSRV1::LAMBRECHT | The Spirit of Bavaria | Fri Jun 02 1995 19:12 | 26 |
| Hello Folks,
who of you needs sand?????
Clean fine sand without any dirt in it.
Eg for sandboxes, or anything else where you need sand for.
A girlfriend of mine has a huge pile in her garden and needs help
deminishing it. Please send me mail if you like to get some.
;)
Martina
For who ever likes to know, the "behind the scenes" story:
My friend was had by a builder. Her yard has a little slope and she
wanted to get "fill" as a base for a small parking lot for their cars.
She intended to put some loem on it and grass seed etc.
The builder came to her place and took her order for "fill". Then he
brought 2 truckloads of perfect clean fine beach sand.
The sand nowadays runs also under the category of "fill".
And it is quite solid and you can even park on it. ;)
But..... only until the next rain. Then her whole yard will be washed
with sand. :(
So she tries somehow to get rid of it.

Jen, There are a few FTP sights via internet that you can get
UUdecode/encode. You can also get off of the simtel archives on
winnah. I am not exactly sure which directory that you would have to
go to, but I do know that it is on there.....

But.... the system just died 2 hours ago. Now I have to wait until

I tried to send mail to Shrewsbury (Quantum, former Digital facility)
but it does not seem to get through. I only get replies from
Worf, the Quantum mail gateway in Milpitas that my mail can't be

Mail to Ralf-Peter (my ex-husband) at Quantum in Germany still

server in Milpitas, called "Worf", that rejects my mails. It looks like
Lt. Worf has his quirks some times... ;)
(For non-trekkers: Lt. Worf is the Klingon security chief on the
Enterprise in StarTrek The Next Generation. Quantum encorporates a lot
of trekkies and quite a couple of their nodes are named after StarTrek
characters.)
I tried another Quantum server and now let's see.....
I also haven't gotten any mail from Shrewbury yet this week...
Kind of unusual.

INTERNET DAY OF PROTEST: TUESDAY DECEMBER 12, 1995
Outrageous proposals to censor the Internet demand that the Internet
Community take swift and immediate action. We must stand up and let
Congress know that we will not tolerate their attempts to destroy this
medium! Please join hundreds of thousands of your fellow citizens in a
National Day of Protest on Tuesday December 12, 1995.
As you know, on Wednesday December 6, 1995, the House Conference
Committee on Telecommunications Reform voted to impose far reaching and
unconstitutional "indecency" restrictions on the Internet and other
interactive media, including large commercial online services (such as
America Online, Compuserve, and Prodigy) and smaller Internet Service
Providers such as Panix, the Well, Echo, and Mindvox.
These restrictions threaten the very existence of the Internet and
interactive media as a viable medium for free expression, education,
commerce. If enacted, the Internet as we know it will never be the
same.
Libraries will not be able to put any books online that might
offend a child somewhere. No "Catcher in the Rye" or "Ulysses" on the net.
Internet Service Providers could face criminal penalties for allowing
children to subscribe to their Internet Services, forcing many small
companies to simply refuse to sell their services to anyone under 18. Worst
of all, everything you say and publish on the net will have to be "dumbed
down" to that which is acceptable to a child.
As Internet users, we simply must not allow this assault against the
Internet and our most basic freedoms to go unchallenged.
On Tuesday December 12, the organizations below are urging you to
join us in a NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST. The goal is to flood key members of
the House and Senate with phone calls, faxes and email with the message
that the Internet community WILL NOT TOLERATE Congressional attempts to
destroy the Internet, limit our freedoms and trample on our rights.
Below are the phone, fax, and email address of several key members of
Congress on this issue and instructions on what you can do to join the
National Day of Protest to save the Net.
______________________________________________________________________
WHAT YOU MUST DO ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 12, 1995
1. Throughout the day Tuesday December 12, please contact as many
members of Congress on the list below as you can. If you are only
able to make one call, contact House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Finally,
if the Senator or Representative from your state is on the list
below, be sure to contact him or her also.
2. Urge each Member of Congress to "stop the madness". Tell them that
they are about to pass legislation that will destroy the Internet as
an educational and commercial medium. If you are at a loss for
words, try the following sample communique:
Sample phone call:
Both the House and Senate bills designed to protect children
from objectionable material on the Internet will actually
destroy the Internet as an medium for education, commerce, and
political discourse. There are other, less restrictive ways to
address this issue.
I urge you to oppose both measures being proposed in the
conference committee. This is an important election issue to
me.
Sample letter (fax or email):
The Senate conferees are considering ways to protect children
from inappropriate material on the Internet. A vote for either
the House or Senate proposals will result in the destruction of
the Internet as a viable medium for free expression, education,
commerce. Libraries will not be able to put their entire book
collections online. Everyday people like me will risk massive
fines and prison sentences for public discussions someone s
somewhere might consider "indecent".
There are other, less restrictive ways to protect children from
objectionable material online. This is an important election
issue to me.
3. If you're in San Francisco, or near enough to get there, go to
the Rally Against Censorship from Ground Zero of the Digital Revolution:
WHEN: Monday, December 11, 1995 12:00 - 1:00 PM
WHERE: South Park (between 2nd and 3rd, Bryant and Brannon) San Francisco.
SPEAKERS: To be announced
BRING: Attention-grabbing posters, signs, and banners that demonstrate
your committment to free speech and expression, and your feelings
about Congress.
FOR UPDATED INFORMATION (including rain info):
http://www.hotwired.com/staff/digaman/
### THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ###
4. Mail a note to [email protected] to let us know you did your part.
Although you will not receive a reply due to the number of
anticipated responses, we'll be counting up the number of people that
participated in the day of protest.

| One note to show the impact of this legislation. This would restrict the use
of search engines on the internet from finding information based on "bad
words". One such example of how this simply can't work is that a search
disallowed due to the word breast being used would not allow women to look up
information concerning breast cancer. The implications of the restrictions
this legislation imposes is far beyond a few teenage boys looking at dirty
pictures. This is simply the first volley in the fight over first amendment
rights.

sites, I have a new account. It's giving me a couple of problems that my
last account did not. I get long name mail files in my directory for each
message I receive. I also get files in my root directory any time I write
a note in a notesfile. I know something was set up in my last account so this
didn't happen. Hopefully I've explained it well enough so you'll know
what I'm talking about!!

Lola,
There is a file created for each VMS mail that you read. You can set
up a folder in VMS mail and put the read mail into that which will
eliminate the long file names...or you can delete the mail after you
read it.....
I am afraid I can't help you with the notes thingy....I end up with a
notebook entry in my account which is essetially the listing of notes
conferences that I read......

also regarding the mail, you'll have to create the directory
[.mail] and then set your mail directory inside mail. Example:
$ create/dir [.mail]
$ mail
MAIL> set mail_directory [.mail]
MAIL> show mail_directory
Your mail file directory is USER1$:[J_SADIN.MAIL].

don't know about the notes thing. I'd try getting a new notebook put
together....sounds like something's corrupted. Or set up a small .com
file to automatically delete those files on logout and logon.

Sure. You could also put it into a script that starts up notes so that when

and then add the line:
$ nice*notes :== "spawn/input=sys$login:donotes.com"
into your login.com
The asterics means you can use anything after that point as an abreviation.

RECAP: INTERNET DAY OF PROTEST: TUESDAY DECEMBER 12, 1995
The net came into its own as a political force on Tuesday. The
press release has more details. If you haven't taken a moment to
call, fax, or email, do so now. We're still keeping track and only
need a few more to break 20,000.
VTW had someone onhand in DC monitoring the response at the Congressional
offices. The feedback was amazing; Congress got the message. We need to
sustain that by continuing to tell them we're not happy with the options
being offered to us at this time.
Directions for calling Congress can still be found at http://www.vtw.org/
and the many other sites listed at the end of this message. Take a moment
to call! Don't forget to mail us a note at [email protected] to let us
know you took part in the Day Of Protest (and Day 2, and Day 3, and Day 4).

Are 20,000 phone calls a lot? 30,000? 50,000? They are if you're one of a
handful of Congressional staffers trying to field them. Tuesday, December
12th was the Internet's Day of Protest. A variety of net-activists and
telecommunications-related services exhorted the on-line community to call
a selected group of Senators and Representatives to declare their
opposition to the threat of Internet censorship. And call they did.
As the Senate members of the Telecommunications Reform conference
committee contemplated portions of legislation that would censor
"indecent" material on-line, their staffers were being overwhelmed with
phone calls. Senator Inouye's office said they were "getting lots and lots
of calls and faxes." Senator Lott's said they were "flooded with calls."
At Senator Stevens' office there were so many calls they couldn't keep
a complete tally.
At Senator Exon's office, the fax machine was "backed up." And at one
point, activists couldn't even get through to Senator Gorton's office to
ask. Exon is the Senator whose Communications Decency Act started the
nearly year-long struggle between those who would create special
regulations to restrict speech on-line (even, in certain instances,
private email between two individuals) to a greater extent than even
traditional broadcast media; regulations that, according to the ACLU and
many other civil liberties groups, will certainly be proven to be
unconstitutional if passed into law.
"We've never seen anything like it," said Stanton McCandish of the
Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). The EFF is one member of the on-line
coalition that has been fighting an array of censorship legislation since
this spring, when Senator Exon introduced his Communications Decency Act.
"We may have almost overwhelmed our provider," said Shabbir Safdar, head
of Voter's Telecommunications Watch (VTW). VTW is the organization that
organized the on-line coalition. Their on-line connectivity is provided by
Panix.com, a New York-area Internet service provider. "Panix has been
doing some maintenance work today, so it's hard to tell," Safdar
continued. "But we think it's actually made a dent in their connection
to the rest of the Net."
How many calls were actually made? No one can tell. For Leslie Miller, a
reporter for USA Today, it took much of the afternoon to get some counts
from Congressional staffers, and she couldn't get any report from the
Senate's Sergeant-At-Arms, the office nominally responsible for the
Senate's telephone system. VTW may be the only organization that can
really make an educated guess.
"In our Alerts we ask that people drop us an email note after they call,"
explained VTW board member Steven Cherry. "The message count peaked in the
late afternoon at over 70 per minute. Many of those were from people who
called several offices. By 7:30 P.M. (EST) we had gotten 14,000 messages.
By Wednesday morning the count was over 18,000. And of course there are
the people who called but didn't send us email. So all told, our very
rough guess is there were well over 50,000 phone calls and faxes made on
the one day."
"The Net is coming of age, politically," said Jerry Berman, Director of
the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), another member of the
on-line coalition. Safdar, of VTW, concurred, saying, "I think Washington
got the message today that there's a new grass-roots interest group
around, and we're going to be a big part of the 1996 elections." (VTW's
initial election activities can be found at http://www.vtw.org/pledge.)
In addition to the Day of Protest, rallies are scheduled on Thursday,
December 14th, in San Francisco and Seattle, and a protest will be held
that day at 2:00 in New York City.
The New York rally will be at the Cyber-Cafe, 273A Lafayette St from 2-3pm
on Thursday, Dec 14th. Contact Steven Cherry or Shabbir J. Safdar for
details.
The Austin rally is planned for Tue. Dec 19th. No more information is

It is a procedure where they 'replace' a bad tooth with a fake. Rather
than just crown it, you have a surgical procedure to make a socket in
your jaw bone and then a cosmetic insert. Supposedly look very
natural and are long-lasting.

In general I have good straight teeth and I go every six months for a
cleaning like clockwork. Unfortunately when I have a tooth go bad...it
goes REALLY bad. Either I get the implant or I go for bone surgery
which sounded REALLY awful and isn't too likely to work or I go for a
three unit permanent bridge which sounds like trashing two other teeth
if you ask me!
I've heard estimates of $2000+ for the work. :(

crowns.....and my dentist wants to put in a bridge....but I can't see

My right front tooth is completly fake. It's not an implant, but it's
basically a rebuilt tooth. I was horsing around when I was about 16
with a few friends, and ended up getting hit in the mouth with a friend
of mine's class ring. Broke my tooth in half! Since then I've had it
rebuilt twice. This second time has lasted 6 years and it's still as
strong as can be. It looks completly natural.
Ask about rebuilding the tooth.

Did he say why this surgery would be painful, more so than an implant?
Considering the choices, I agree with the last reply that an implant sounds
like the way to go.

I'm not really sure...something about having to do procedures to try
to build-up the tooth base. She also said that it would require
three extensive procedures and would probably 'fail' (break away)
anyway. The implant is supposedly only two procedures....one being
the 'nasty' one of oral surgery to implant a socket....the second
being the cosmetic procedure of the tooth...like putting in a crown.

| Lola,
I do a lot of work in the undergraduate/graduate space in England, but am
not totally clear from your note exactly what your niece is looking
for.
It seems quite a broad subject, and could relate to any government or
local council proposals/existing programmes. Equally it could be to do
with activities employers do to assist students - at school or
university level.
What age range is she looking for? and is she looking to confine it to
the US? That could have an impact on where to begin/end searches.
I may be able to provide some help on the UK activities, but she would
need to be more specific about her requirements.

The subject is very broad, and that's how it was explained to her. I did get
tons of info off the Web for her, but could find no specific proposal. She's
writing it for a scholarship to the school she's been accepted into. Hopefully
I got her what she needs! Thanks!

| I need some serious help regarding how to properly handle a situation
at work.
We have this new Contractor who's in his second week here and
he seems to want to take control of everything and everyone. He was asked,
by my manager, to assist me in developing an Operations Manual for our
Help Desk and has since taken over the project entirely! In addition,
he's been doling out assignments and "requesting" the rest of us to do
his bidding while he spends all day long God-knows-where doing
God-knows-what. He was originally hired on as a local Software Analyst
to assist our staff in resolving customers' issues. I don't think he's
spent more than 10 minutes, if that, where he belongs since he's
started.
I'm getting fed up with his insistence that he's "KING" and that we're
here to support him and his project. He has an air about him that has,
so far, rubbed everyone at my Help Desk the wrong way! The only
positive thing he's done is to band the rest of us together via our
dislike of him and his mannerisms - not that that comraderie didn't
exist before...
Usually, I have no problem dealing with people, however, I'd like
people's opinions on how to deal with something of this nature.
Thanks for letting me write-off some steam and for your anticipated
assistance. SOMETHING'S got to be done!!!

and know how to things without you telling us."
Now I know that sounds lame but it does sometimes work. In fact it
worked for me last night.
If he doesn't respond very well go up to someone higher than him and
tell them you tried to work it out with him and it just isn't working.
Maybe, doubt it but, they will try to get someone new who can work with

Frame 2: Dilbert's show slamming the paper in the trash with the words

Frame 3: The guy's looking at Dilbert saying, "THAT WASN'T NICE." with

comes in today! <Ooooh! I'm Scared! - NOT!!!> Another co-worker kindly
reminded him that he'd probably would've had less friction if he stayed
in our area and requested our help as needed and that his primary job
was the HelpDesk and the Ops Guide was a side-job to be completed on
his spare time. The way I see it, he's had 24 hrs+ (Tuesday to present)
to complete "his" project - which, originally, was assigned to me,
incidentally - and there's no excuse why he couldn't get it done in
that amount of time.
Methinks there's gonna be a sparring match today....

I would most definitely go to the supervisor/manager of your group
and let him know that you all have a problem with the way this gent is
forcing his will upon you. Explain your reasons and possibly ask the
boss if your group can get together with the KING and the boss to have
a problem solving session. This kind of mediated discussion is usually
more productive than the verbal sniping that takes place during
unmoderated talks.
IMHO of course..

with one of my projects.
We're looking at the possibility of using the Internet as a means of
recruitment (when we turn that corner!) and information site to run
alongside our current practices for possibly both internal and external
vacancies. We're way behind our US colleagues who are already doing this.
I'm looking for feedback from people (line Managers etc) who have
used/are using this to recruit people. I've tried mailing the people
who have had Digital jobs posted on the Web site, but had no response -
could be that I'm doing something wrong - and I've been unsuccessful in
finding them on ELF.
Do any of you know people I can contact who have tried to recruit in
this way? Contact names would be really useful.

The Network Products Business Unit (NPBU) has a Web page at

Ok....here's the scoop. I'm looking at maybe buying a condo and I was
wondering if anybody has ever lived or known anybody that has lived at
Assabet Village in Hudson?
Thanks!

| /jen,
No, but did you try the MA conference also? Since most of the people noting in
here are now from across the pond, you may have a better response there!
Good luck on the purchase if you decide to go ahead with it!

Thanks Rich,
Now for dessert in the North End. Have you heard of a Michael's
Pastries? Or can you recommend someplace else?

/jen,
Mike's Pastries is either on Salem or Hanover St in the North End,
same street as the European. It's on the left hand side of the street.
If your feeling a little upscale you could always go to the Hyatt
Regency in Cambridge and have dessert in their revolving restaurant.
