	Hello Gang,
		   Well it's that time of year again.....what time you ask?

	Well Christmas time - almost - and the time that I, and more 
	significantly VAXCAT take our Christmas holidays. 
	VAXCAT will be in hibernation from 16th Dec., though it maybe around 
	some time during the following week, until 4th January 1995. 

	Have a happy Holiday, and if you celebrate Christmas, do it well.

	OK there's no need. This machine is required for abiut 50% of my holiday
	by someone else, so we won't be saving any electricity this year.
	VAXCAT will be available - failing acts of God - all through the 
	Christmas period.

    Hello everyone,
    
    As many of you know, I will be starting a new job as of Monday, May 22. 
    Unfortunately, I will not have as much time to moderate here in FRIENDS
    as I would like while I get acclimated to the new job.
    
    I'm asking two things.
    
    1)  Please, everyone behave.
    
    2)  If you have any problems, for the time being, please refer them to
    one of the other moderators, as I will not have time to respond right
    away.

    doing your best at moderating these guys.

	Sorry folks. The system disk has been playing up a bit.
	We have a new one now, and a current backup restored, so we should be
	ok for another couple of years....:^)

    Just a slight little nit.. but could people PLEASE try and keep the
    idle chit chat in note 6?  This way if there's someone who doesn't want
    to read the chit chat they can do a next/unseen without missing
    anything.

    Folks,
    
    I'm going to be out of the office for the next two weeks (Drs sign
    off), but may occassionally pop in if work demands it.  Try not to make
    too much work for the other mods!

    Since Jackie is out for the next few weeks, and will be out in August
    for her maternity leave, we were seeking another moderator in the
    European area.  
    
    Please welcome our new moderator, Chris Plant.  Maybe being a moderator
    will make him "toe the line" a bit!  haha!

    With the soon departure of Jackie and Chris (sniff.. sniff.. sobb!!),
    and with me going on maternity leave very soon (about 4 weeks now..
    Yeehah!!), the FRIENDS file will be looking for another moderator.
    
    Since at this time, most of the activity seems to be from the England
    area, we'd like to find someone in that timezone.
    
    If you're interested in helping us moderate this file, please send mail
    to one or all of the moderators.  Easiest way is to sen/mod at the
    notes> prompt.

    Do we have NO volunteers for this wonderful job?  Jackie's last day
    before her maternity leave is tomorrow and Chris will be leaving at the 
    end of this month.  We need someone in that timezone to be able to 
    help us americans moderate this file.  
    
    If you would like to volunteer, or would like to suggest someone who
    would be a good person to moderate this file, please type send/mod and
