602.0. "Time for a course?" by VARESE::MUGGIA () Mon May 19 1997 13:15
Dear BASEstar Open Community,
we have not been giving BASEstar courses for a while, and I think it is
time to try to organize a new training session.
In the recent past we had some troubles in bringing people to Milano for the
course: this time, before organizing the training, I would like to know
whether there are interested people.
The course agenda is attached below; the date is tbd, but tentatively it could
be in the second or third week of July.
If you are interested, please post a reply here and tell us which date you
prefer and which stream (BASEstar or PDAS) you would like to attend for
day 4.
Thanks.

For those students who have a special interest in PDAS,
the course provides a full day of PDAS specific
training which can be taken as an alternative stream to
the standard BASEstar training which will cover in

At the end of the course students should be able to
provide presales technical support for BASEstar Open

programming skills, be in a position to start
implementing BASEstar Open Applications.
PDAS students will in addition be able to configure,
set up, install and demo PDAS. They will understand the
role and specific functionality of PDAS and how it
relates to the PP-PI module of the R/3 product from

602.1 | Mail Direct To Customers. | FRSSMS::CELLAM | | Tue May 20 1997 11:34 | 14 |
| Claudio,
why don't you, as Product Manager, mail the BASEstar Open Customers
with this information. This would be the best form of targetting, you
can't rely on the local Digital resources to do this, because:
a) Typically there are no linkage between NSIS and Sales
b) BASEStar is often sold by distributers/partner so there is
no involvement of NSIS and/or sales.
c) We don't know who the customers are.
