    Hi Folks,
    
    I posted the following note in BODC earlier and I was pointed 
    here. I'm still not 100% certain we have a solution for this
    customer - Alcoa. I'll include the earlier note - my question
    now is will this work for the Siemens H1 PLC protocol ?

    I've found some software product descriptions (SPD's) on DEC's
    AltaVista search engine describing three different DEC supplied packages 
    that interface to Siemens H1 PLC protocol - DECNet OSI, DECOmni and DECOsap.
    From the information I've uncovered, DECNet OSI, DECOmni and DECOsap are
    all supported by Digital UNIX, but DECNet OSI is the only one supported by 
    Digital UNIX 4.0.  DECOmni is supported by version 3.2D and DECOsap by 3.2C.
    Can you tell me if there are plans to support DECOmni and DECOsap   
    under Digital UNIX 4.0? And if so, by when.

    You need v 3.1 of DEComni API and DECosap. Both are currently in
    Field Test.

    Great! Thanks - looks like Alcoa has a rolling mill in Australia
    that would like to use these layered products.
