2560.0. "VB - Crystal - Access: Access Password Panel" by CHEFS::geyzuh.reo.dec.com::Steve_Marshall () Tue May 20 1997 06:22

Folks,

	I have an application that uses an Access7 database to store it's
	data. The application is installed using a kit created with Setup
	Wizard and installs with no problems. I have numerous installations
	on Windows95 and NT (3.51 and 4.0) where the user has Office97
	installed. The application works without any problems whatsoever.

	On one particular machine, however, when the user attempts to use
	one of the print options (that uses Crystal Reports to generate
	the print), up pops an 'Enter Access Password' window.

	The database is secured with the application gaining the access
	required via username/password. The displayed screen is not one
	of the applications, and is not prompting for any password that
	is on the database (I have tried them all).

	As I said above, I have users with exactly the same configuration
	as the user with the problem and all is working well.

	Is there an Access97 setting that could be causing this password
	panel to appear ? (Users workgroup administrator is mapped to the
	standard SYSTEM.MDW)
