2507.0. "MY install works on my PC but not others." by OTOOA::LATTUCA () Thu Feb 27 1997 15:45
Has anyone heard of this problem before.
I create a VB kit for my application and it install just fine on my
system.
However, If I run the install kit on any laptop with W95, I get a
error trying to run the setup.
My guess is that since I installed VB4.0 on my W95 PC, I can run my
install kit just fine because I have some DLL or OCX file, that is
missing from my install kit.
I used the regular MS VB4.0E setup wizard, and it does work fine on
my PC.
Does anyone have any ideas on why it does not work on a PC that
does not have VB4.0? Has anyone heard of a OCX or DLL file that MS
setup wizard forgets to install in your kit.
Thanks,
Paul Connaughton

| Paul, do you have any more information on what the problem is? The
standard setup should produce a log file in the application directory.
Is it 16-bit or 32-bit? I've not had problems with the 32-bit setup.
I've not played with the 16-bit.
Cheers,
Brian
