Folks,
I am working on a VB4 (32-bit) client that needs to interface to
data and utilities for a Legacy system on a VAX. The data I can
access with no problems whatsoever (although a bit slowly as the
data resides in RMS files!). However, the legacy system implements
a number of feeder generation programs that the user wishes to
be able to run from the PC client. The customer *is not* prepared
to fund any redevelopment of these routines as they will be retired
soon, but they need to be able to continue running them for the
time being.
The feeder routines are written in VAX-Basic, and are run through
@'ing command files on the VAX. The routines are to continue
executing on the VAX.
Anyone had to implement something like this before ? Any ideas on
how this can be done quickly and simply (as it seems as though it
will get thrown soon anyway) ?
Steve

Did you look at topic 822, found with a "dir/title=".com"? mike | |||||

Damn,
I searched for execute, command and others which obviously didn't
find that note stream. I obviously wasn't thinking straight yesterday.
Thanks for the pointer.
