Well, now that I have (almost) recovered from the lurgy that hit me
like a truck straight after I entered my last note ...
This notes stream is a little old, and there is no reply to
.11 (obviously) which poses pretty much the question that I
was about to come up with.
I am developing with VB4 (32-bit) under Windows '95. There is no
guarantee that a user that I deliver to will be running Pathworks
DECnet and is in fact more likely to not be these days.
Are there any nice examples using calls to TCP/IP DLL's for
implementing .COM activation on the VAX ?
I just want to implement this as quickly as possible with the
minimum of effort as (as I said in my original note) any interface
I develop will be soon thrown away ...
Hopefully,
Steve.

| I'm pretty sure you can do this because I looked into it about a year
ago. While I was looking at it the requirement went away and I dropped
it. Basically it involved some system call (this was on an NT box) in
which you passed username, password and command line. You could try
asking in the NT conference. If you can do it in NT there's a
reasonable chance you can do it under 95. I remember the interface
looked remarkably similar to what you see when you use Excursion when I
tried running it interactively.
Cheers,
Brian

You might want to try asking someone in the Excursion notesfile
also.
