I am looking for a PC Multimedia (CD-ROM) title that displays the night sky for any user selectable date and location. It supposedly also includes fly-by satellite photographs of various planets. The title is "Red Shift," but I have been told that a CD-ROM named "Distant Suns" also does the same thing. I looked in the SPACE and ASTRONOMY Notes Conferences but could not find reference to this software or anything similar. Does anyone have familiarity with this type of software (comments, reviews, source, etc.)? Thanks. Larry

Try NOTED::IBMPC-94. In particular, take a look at the note titled something like "Good deals, specials, " or somethign like that. There is a price list from a company called CD-ROM access. They might have it, and if they do not, give them a call anyway. They are quite helpful and may be able to find it for you. Burns | |||||

I recall seeing these products advertised in some of the astronomy magazines, notably Sky & Telescope. Mike H |
