568.0. "I want to see a launch..." by SAVVAH::CASS (the only way out is through...) Thu Oct 12 1989 16:54

DISCLAIMER: I tried using the keywords and DIR/TITLE but I couldn't find
the information I'm looking for. If there is a topic for this already,
    please direct me to it.

I will be in Florida at the beginning of December and I want to find
out 1) if there are any launches, particularly shuttle launches,
scheduled during that time frame and 2)how do you go about getting
a pass or whatever to watch it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cathi

Hmmmm, should I ask what title you were looking for?? :-) We thank you
for at least giving it a go...

May I suggest that in future NOTES expeditions you also give the
command "Notes> Show Keywords/all" a try. Using this command, you will
find a keyword "SHUTTLE_WATCHING". You can then do a
"Notes> Directory/Keyword=SHUTTLE_WATCHING" and get the following
    notes...

I believe that those entries will answer your questions about how to
see the launch... There are also some notes (sorry, I don't have the
keyword handy) that lay out the schedule of launches..

Hope this helps... Please ask whatever questions you may have in the
    appropriate note...

(Mr. Moderator, please delete both of these in the next few days...)

    cheers,
    jeff
