I'm not sure which tickets you're referring to, but I contacted NASA in
Washington, D.C. (address is posted elsewhere) and was told that I'd be
receiving a NASA Causeway pass for a car about a month before the
launch. The Causeway pass puts me 8 miles or so from the launch and
    it's mostly across water.

See Topic 432, and please use the command DIR/TITLE=topicname
in the future. Also, writing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is considered
shouting, and is not good Noting ettiquite.

Don't worry about September tickets, I think you can count on a
nice view of STS 26 during the Christmas season, if then. A fuel
leak MAY cause a two month delay.

Frankly, I agree with the proposition that any launch will occur
    after the election.

I've received a document from Nasa public affairs stateing that
tickets will be issued to me prior to the alleged September launch
date. I hope you're wrong about the Sept date,(but I think it makes
    sense).
