281.0. "The COSMOS 1835 Satellite" by MONSTR::HUGHES (Gary Hughes) Fri Apr 10 1987 13:42

    Following this is a Tass press release extracted (very painfully)
    from the Siscom demo infobase. I'll add others as I find them.

    The infobase is on REDFSH::"249=" if you want to peruse it. It is
    a demo system so it often non operational and complaints about the
    newswires will be ignored or you will be told it is for demos only.
    Print and Save are restricted so I had to set host/log to myself
    and edit the results (I said it was painful).

        For those who haven't seen this before, it seems that USSR
        technology has yet to develop the shift/lock keys. At times their
        English is less than perfect, but then I flunked it once, to!

    if the inc is actually 64.9 then this is most likly a 4th
    generation recon bird, that means it will be radio silent
    over the US but anyone within 1000 miles of the Soviet
    Union try lising to 240 MHz. Its mean height is a little
    off however.
