138.0. "51-L Explosion Acceleration" by ORWELL::KINZELMAN () Thu Feb 06 1986 09:57
A friend works for Stanford and they were asked by NASA to do image processing
of the film of the shuttle exploding, by comparing the pictures to the
known good image of the shuttle to reduce noise. From this they determined
that the initial acceleration of the shuttle was mercifully 35G's.
