		Firm Sued for Shuttle Mishap

Gainesville, Fla. (AP) - The primary contractor for the space
shuttle program has been sued over a 1983 accident which fuel leaked from
Challenger while it was being serviced between flights.

	S. Vernon Woodard and Deloris L. Woodard, who filed the three-
page complaint Tuesday in Alachua County Circuit Court, seek unspecified
damages from Rockwell International Corp., claiming Woodard was permanently
disabled.

Barry Dean Graves, the attourney representing the Gainesville
couple, said the timing of the suit - filed a week after the Challenger
blew up on its 10th launch, killing its seven crewmembers - was
coincidental.

"It just happened that way," Graves told The Associated Press.
"We've been working on it for a long, long time."
