The news articles on mrnews.mro.dec.com come from depot.mro.dec.com,
which I also run.
1. My management has been issuing specific orders (they are
specific at my insistence) to stop certain newsgroups from
being distributed by depot.mro.dec.com. The filtering
began on March 3, 1997.
2. The current list of newsgroups is:
alt.sex
alt.sex.*
alt.binaries.pictures.erotica
alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.*
I have just finished a phone call with my CC manager and his boss and
probably someone else in the room regarding newsgroups and filtering.
They were using a speakerphone, but only introduced themselves.
I am postive that they will be issuing more orders to filter other
newsgroups. As an employee, I am obligated to follow their orders.
My chain of command is:
1 Edward Kane team leader
2 John Donahue CC manager (in phone call)
3 Ronald Calabria next boss in chain (in phone call)
4 Timothy Gallagher next boss in chain
5 Thomas Simmons next boss in chain
6 Richard Fishburn next boss in chain
7 Robert Palmer next boss in chain
The orders have been coming from 2 & 3 at the insistence of 4.
Oh, why did I include my chain of command. I don't want to hear any
complaints. That is why I told you my chain of command and who is
doing the pushing and ordering.
