Folks Having problems booting over an FDDI controller. DEFPA, SAS UTP varient. Alphastation 2100 running OVMS 6.2-1h1. The node is getting so far through the boot process then is just repeating the following line up the screen. vmscluster-i-reinit_wait Waiting for access to the system disk server Any ideas appreciatted. What type of system is being booted (into the 2100?). I gather the DEFPA is the device on the 2100 over which the boot is being done? Note that V6.2-1H1 doesn't have DEFPA boot support for Rawhide or the Pinnacle/Noritake systems (that support is in V6.2-1H3). Since the console is able to obtain APB.EXE via MOP, it appears the boot is failing as soon as APB.EXE tries to use the LAN boot driver for the DEFPA in APB. - Dick | |||||

Dick Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. DNS problems prevented me from being able to get in here. The problem was with the 2100 itself. It appears that there were issues with this nodes route to the disk. There appears to have been some shadowing issues as well. Thanks for your input. Regards Steven |
