Hello, My customer use the following configuration: DEChub900 with 4 DECconcentrator 900FH. Front Panel Ports B M..........M M..........M M..........M M..........M A | |||||||||||| |||||||||||| |||||||||||| |||||||||||| | +-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ | CONC #4 | | CONC #3 | | CONC #2 | | CONC #1 | +-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ | | | | | | +----------+ +----------+ +----------+ A B A B A B Backplane Ports The concentrators are connecting to the external dual ring through the front panel ports on concentrators 1 & 4. In order to check the Dual Ring failover, the customer disconnected the fiber from port B on concentrator #4. All the stations connecting to this concentrator where disconnecting from the ring. All stations connecting to the other concentrators works fine. As I understand, when concentrator #4 detects the fail and wrap the ring it leaves all M ports out of the ring. Is it suppose to work this way? Any help will be appreciated.

I done this kind of config before at it has always worked. So, via clearVISN MCM, do you have "Auto Healing" enabled on the Lan Interconnect Screen. Also, what does MCM say about the state of the A and B ports of concentrator 4? Brad |
