The DEFEA.SYS and DEFPA.SYS drivers that are bundled in Windows NT 3.51
and above were originally written by Digital. Once the source code was
handed off to Microsoft over a year ago, it became part of the Windows
NT source pool and is effectively "owned" by Microsoft. Microsoft has
made changes in the past year and has released updates via service
packs. The drivers in Windows NT 4.0 include all of the changes since
3.51.
Back home, Digital can still release its own set of drivers (which we
do) and it may be different than what Microsoft releases (they are).
Bottom line, Windows NT 4.0 ships with DEFEA and DEFPA drivers and our
current driver kits (v2.7) includes drivers that support Windows NT
3.5-4.0. Your customer is well covered.
