Could please inquire of the DEC engineering group responsible for DEConcentrator 900MX/TH. Are they aware or why have they
introduced a limitation below the max ethernet frame size for a PING payload on said devices.

Basically you should be able to ping 1472 byte size packets to any IP/SNMP manageable device. But it appears that 1460 bytes is the
maximum allowed on the 900MX/TH.
                
I have tested my finding on a number of the 900 devices and they all seem to display this same fault. The old DEConcentrator 500s
don't nor do any of the other IP/SNMP devices I have encountered before.

Please find my attached proof. fcpcna_380a is a 500 and fcwana_180a is 900MX as you can the 500 does full size but the 900 only does
up to 1460 bytes
