Will the following configuration work?
Alpha with FDDI SAS card connected to A port of DECswitch 900EF
Sun with FDDI SAS care connected to B port of same 900EF
Raj Jains FDDI book says that an S port to an A or B port is
a "Valid/Undesirable" connection. Undesirable is defined as being
a bad choice because it creates a "permanently wrapped ring".
My impression is, based on the above, that my Alpha/Sun/900EF would
work. All I would loose is FDDI dual ring.
