2048.0. "DEFAA problems on a DEC4000-620" by AUSSIE::MCNAMARA () Sat May 18 1996 10:21
G'Day,
I have a problem fitting 2 DEFAA's into a DEC4000-620
running OSF 3.2 17.
With just one card fitted (either one) the system and cards work fine.
IF I add the other card I get a message at boot time in the UERF log
saying that "FAA0 cannot add to the CAM" (just like note 1958) and
every time the network is accessed I get
"FAA0: Nothing in the command response queue"
just like note 1022.19 but the fix described in 1022.20 does not change
the firmware from version 1.0.
The modules are B2006-AA Hw 1b0 Fw V1.0
Are two DEFAA's supported on a COBRA?
I cannot find the COBRA notes conf. nor can I find a manual.
There is a jumper on the DEFAA board ... should that be moved for
update?
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Scott
